A Mays Landing man was injured in a dirt bike crash Saturday night, police said.
Bryan Gillis, 30, was riding along a wooded trail off Leipzig Avenue when he struck a log obscured by high grass, police said.
The collision threw him over the handlebars of the bike, and he struck his head, according to the report. He was unconscious for an undetermined amount of time.
When he regained consciousness, he contacted a family member who took him to the side of the road until police and medical personnel arrived just after 7 p.m.
Gillis was taken to AtlantiCare Medical Center's City Campus with injuries that were not considered life-threatening. He was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
