Pleasantville Middle and High schools were deemed clear of any threats after a lockdown Thursday morning.
The lockdown came after police received a 911 call from a woman rambling, at times incoherently, Sgt. Matt Hartman said.
At one point, the caller referenced a bomb threat directed at 701 N. Mill Road, which is the campus of the two schools, he said.
"Out of an abundance of caution," police and school district administrators decided to have the students and staff shelter in place while a sweep was done of both schools, Police Chief Sean Riggin said.
The The Atlantic City Police Department Bomb Squad, along with the Pleasantville Fire Department, was responded. A visual sweep for suspicious items was followed by a coordinated search of both buildings using explosives detection dogs from multiple jurisdictions.
The caller has been identified but her name has not been released. There appear to be no charges at this time>
The investigation is ongoing, police said.
The department thanked all those who responded.
