A Millville man convicted of killing his estranged wife and her 3-month-old daughter will spend the rest of his life in prison.
Ricardo Carrillo-Santiago was sentenced to two consecutive life terms this week for strangling Neidy Ramirez and suffocating her infant daughter, Genesis, on Thanksgiving 2015.
Ramirez had three children. The two older ones were with Carrillo-Santiago.
The bodies of Ramirez and Genesis were found at a game reserve off Backneck Road in Fairfield Township, Cumberland County, after Ramirez’s vehicle was found abandoned by Exit 45 on Route 55 in Gloucester County.
His sentence is to be served in a maximum security prison, according to the sentence by Judge Robert Malestein.
Carrillo-Santiago also was sentenced to 10 years without parole for the unlawful disposal of human remains.
