Teen arrested for leading Atlantic City police on chase in stolen car

An Atlantic City teen was arrested after leading police on a chase in a stolen car Sunday.Officer Auttika Taing saw the stolen Kia Forte in the 800 block of Ohio Avenue at about 2 p.m. Sunday, according to the report.It had been reported stolen just afer 6 a.m., Sgt. Kevin Fair said.Taing tried to stop the car, but he driver sped off, according to the report.The driver finally stopped on Route 30 heading into Absecon, Fair said.The driver and three passengers were taken into custody with help from Officers Maria Borsani and Martina Martin, and K-9 Officer Amir Hughes with his partner, Ghost.The three passengers, all minors, were released to their parents.The 17-year-old driver was charged with receiving stolen property, along with motor vehicle summons.He was released to his parent with a future court date.
