A Union County man was wounded in a shooting at a party in Ventnor early New Year's Day.
Police were called to the beach block of South Vassar Square Avenue at 3:17 a.m. for a report of shots fired, Lt. Joe Fussner said.
Police arrived to find a crowd at a residence on the block, and found a man with multiple gunshot wounds, according to the report.
The 26-year-old man from Hillside was attending a party at the residence when there was an argument, and gunshots, Fussner said.
The victim was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center's City Campus in Atlantic City by Ventnor City Fire Department personnel along with AtlantiCare Paramedics, Fussner said.
The man, whose name was not released, is in stable condition.
The home was being rented as an Airbnb.
Atlantic City and Margate police along with detectives from the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office Major Crimes Unit assisted at the scene.
The shooting is under investigation, Fussner said. No arrests have been made.
