A dumpster fire spread to a home in Hamilton Township early Saturday morning.
Police were called to the trash fire on the 200 block of Greenbriar Court at 1:13 a.m.
When patrol officers arrived, the fire had spread to the home, which was fully engulfed, police said.
A 50-year-old man who was home at the time was able to escape uninjured, according to the report.
Firefighters from Cologne, Mays Landing, Laureldale and Cardiff responded to the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
