Absecon woman struck and killed by car in Pleasantville

An Absecon woman was killed this weekend when she was struck by a car in Pleasantville. Maurice Williams was heading east on the Black Horse Pike near Noah's and Doughty roads when two pedestrians entered his lane, Capt. Matt Hartman said. Elizabeth Turner and Christopher Soto, both 27 of Absecon, were struck in the left inside lane, according to the report. Turner died at the scene. Soto was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center's City Campus, where he was treated and released. No injuries were reported for Williams, 38, of Sicklerville. The crash is under investigation by Patrolman Juan Morillo and Sgt. Luz Gresham. Anyone who may have witnessed the crash or who has information regarding it is asked to call Pleasantville police at 609-641-6100.
