A Northfield man convicted of burglary related to a home invasion was sentenced to nine years in prison Friday, Atlantic County Prosecutor Damon Tyner said.
Kevin White Jr., 31, was convicted of two counts of second-degree burglary in the case that included allegations that he threatened a victim Nov. 20, 2016, after he broke into his neighbor's home, where she was asleep in bed with her 2-year-old son.
When the victim screamed, White allegedly told her to stop or he would kill her son.
When Northfield police originally released the information, they said there was a second suspect who stayed in the hallway and had a physical altercation with another female in the home. But that was not mentioned in Friday's press release.
White must serve at least 85 percent of his sentence.
