Vineland ice cream parlor owner convicted of child endangerment

  • News

A Vineland ice cream parlor owner was found guilty Tuesday of recording underage female employees inside a changing room, Cumberland County Prosecutor Jennifer Webb-McRae announced Wednesday.
Larry Bostic, 67, was convicted on five counts each of endangering the welfare of a child and invasion of privacy for filming the girls in June 2017.
The owner of Cool Breeze Ice Cream on West Landis Avenue made the girls wear a uniform skirt for work, but told them they couldn’t take them home, so that they had to change at the business, according to the charges.
Bostic now faces five to 10 years on each of the endangering counts, and 18 months on each of the invasion charges.
The terms could be concurrent for each separate victim, Webb-McRae said.
Before sentencing, Bostic must first be evaluated at the Adult Diagnostic and Treatment Center.
He also will have to register as a Megan’s Law offender, with lifetime parole supervision once he has served his sentence.
