A motorcyclist was injured Saturday, when an SUV turned in front of him going onto the Garden State Parkway in Galloway Township, and crashed, police said.
David Palmeri, 62, was heading west on Jimmie Leeds Road on his Honda motorcycle when Lawrence Veltri made a left turn in front of him to go onto the parkway ramp at about 4:30 p.m., police said.
Palmeri was injured and was helped by an off-duty state trooper and off-duty paramedic at the scene. He was then taken to AtlantiCare Regional medical Center's City Campus.
Veltri, 65, of Little Egg Harbor, was not injured.
Veltri was ticketed for his part in the crash, police said.
Traffic at the intersection was slowed for about 45 minutes while the crash was being investigated.
