A Mays Landing motorcyclist died after he was struck by a car in Hamilton Township on Sunday afternoon.
Timothy Purelli, 52, was heading north on Harbor Avenue just before 2 p.m. when he was struck by 2019 Volkswagen Tiguan driven by Jennifer Hines, police said.
Hines, 39, of Egg Harbor Township, had been heading south and was turning left onto Township Avenue when the crash occurred, according to the report.
Purelli was taken to Shore Medical Center in Somers Point, where he died from his injuries.
Hines, who was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the crash, was not injured.
Traffic was diverted for about two hours while the accident was investigated and scene cleared of debris.
The Hamilton Township Rescue Squad and AtlantiCare Paramedics assisted Hamilton Township police at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation by Officer James Jacobi and Detective Michael Robison.
