Pennsylvania man arrested with loaded gun in Atlantic City

  • News

A Pennsylvania man was arrested after police responding to a dispute on the Atlantic City Boardwalk allegedly saw him discard a loaded handgun.
Tavon Robertson was allegedly seen pushing a woman in the 500 block of the Boardwalk at about 7:15 p.m. Monday, according to the report.
Officers in the Surveillance Center were able to locate the couple and directed responding Officers Troy Grams and Malik Tolbert, Sgt. Kevin Fair said.
As the officers approached, Robertson refused to speak to them and kept walking and then started to run, Fair said.
Robertson ran to the beach with the officers chasing him, according to the report. He then discarded a loaded handgun from his waistband.
As Grams approached Robertson, the woman grabbed the officer’s arm to try to interfere with the arrest, Fair said.
Robertson, 31, of Lancaster, Pa., was arrested by Tolbert, and charged with obstruction of justice, unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of hollow-point ammunition, receiving stolen property and tampering with evidence.
He was taken to the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
The woman, identified as 27-year-old Martha Fisher also of Lancaster, was charged with obstruction of justice and released on a summons.
