Got warrants? Wednesday event will help clear Atlantic, Cape cases

  • News

Atlantic City will host a Safe Surrender event Wednesday.
Anyone with open cases out of Atlantic and Cape May counties can come to the All Wars Memorial Building in Atlantic City from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Warrants outside the two counties cannot be recalled through the event, but those who come will be given proof that they attended to give to any out of county courts.
Matters including criminal, traffic, child support and family court will be handled.
The event is sponsored by PathStone Atlantic City.
No one will be arrested at the event. But those who have warrants out of Drug/Recovery Court are not eligible and may be arrested, according to the organizers.
There will be representatives from local social service and public agencies, which can help with free GED testing and assistance, vocational training, employment services, mental health and substance abuse treatment, legal assistance and veterans’ assistance. The Hope One bus will also be on hand for addiction services.
