Two teens were arrested on gun charges after they were stopped in Atlantic City last week.
The 14-year-old from Atlantic City and 17-year-old from Ventnor were in the area of Dover and Ventnor avenues just before 5 p.m. Wednesday, when they were stopped, Sgt. Kevin Fair said Monday.
The 14-year-old was arrested on a warrant stemming from a shots-fired incident in April, Fair said. No details about the case were given.
The 17-year-ol was arrested after police found him in possession of a loaded, defaced handgun and 21 grams of marijuana, according to the report.
Their names were not released due to their ages.
The younger boy was charged with aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.
The older teen was charged with unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a defaced firearm and possession of a controlled dangerous substance.
Both were taken to the Harborfields Juvenile Detention Center.
