Four Atlantic County residents allegedly burglarized several Dunkin’ Donuts around the state.
An investigation that began with a May 7 burglary at a Dunkin’ in Upper Pittsgrove Township, Salem County, ledt to law enforcement linking burglaries in Gloucester, Ocean and Morris counties as well, State Police said Thursday.
Aaqib and Altovise James, both 40 of Pleasantville; Rasheedah Blackwell, 40, of Atlantic City, and Naeem Reynolds, 28, of Egg Harbor Township were arrested following a three-week investigation that linked a black SUV to a number of burglaries.
Troopers from the Woodstown Station investigating the burglary at the Dunkin’ on US 40 in Upper Pittsgrove Township found that the suspects forced their way in through the drive-thru window and stole cash.
Evidence collected included surveillance of the suspect vehicle, a black SUV.
Further investigation identified the Jameses and Reynolds as the suspect, and Blackwell as the SUV’s registered owner, according to the report.
Multiple search warrants execute Tuesday in Pleasantville, Atlantic City and Egg Harbor Township resulted in the four arrests and seizure of cash and items consistent with the burglaries, police said.
All four are charged with burglary, theft, criminal trespass, possession of burglary tools and conspiracy.
Aaqib James and Reynolds were lodged at the Salem County Jail pending a detention hearing.
Altovise James and Blackwell were turned over to the Franklin Township Police Department.
