An Ocean County woman is accused of stabbing her fiance Sunday, then driving him to the hospital, where she left him in the vehicle outside while she fled. Dennis Power, 35, was unconscious but breathing when he was found. But he died of his injury in the Ocean Medical Center, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley Billhimer said.
An investigation led to Ciara Williams being charged with murder and weapons offenses.
“We believe, through our investigation, that Williams stabbed Mr. Power in the chest during an argument at the residence” in Brick Township, Billhimer said. “She then drove him to the hospital and returned to the residence.”
After “an extensive search,” Williams turned herself in Monday with her attorney, Billhimer said.
Williams, 27, is now in the Ocean County Jail pending a detention hearing.
