A 90-year-old Cherry Hill woman died Friday, after a car she was a passenger in was struck in Margate, police said.
An 80-year-old man from Cinnaminson was driving on Jerome Avenue just after noon, when he was struck by a northbound car while trying to make a left turn onto Amherst, police said.
His passenger was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center for treatment, according to the report. She later died of her injuries.
No names nor information about the other vehicle and driver were released Saturday.
Responding officers were assisted by ambulances from Margate's and Ventnor's fire departments.
The accident is being investigated by Margate City Police Officer Jessica Fane with the assistance of the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office Fatal Accident Investigations Unit.
