Pleasantville police recovered two guns after shots struck two homes Wednesday night. The ShotSpotter audio gunshot-detection system recorded four shots just before 11 p.m., police said.
Two residents called police saying their homes had been struck, Capt. Matt Hartman said.One was a home in the first block of West Washington Avenue.
The other was in 200 block of North First Street. A block away, a car was also struck, Hartman said.
K-9 Officer Matt Laielli and his partner, Chewbacca, searched the area and found a semi-automatic handgun in the rear yard of a residence in the 100 block of North First Street, Hartman said.
A second handgun was found in a yard the 100 block of West Adams Avenue later during follow-up investigation.
No victims or suspects were located.
