A woman is accused of running a brothel out of an Egg Harbor Township home for at least two years.
Heng Wan, 42, of Brooklyn, N.Y., was arrested after a five-month joint investigation by the Atlantic County Sheriff’s Office, Egg Harbor Township Police Department and the FBI Human Trafficking and Child Exploitation Task Force, Sheriff Eric Scheffler said Friday.
The home on Delilah Road had as many as 10 customers each day, Scheffler said.
A tip from a concerned resident sparked the investigation, Scheffler said.
Detectives seized evidence of prostitution and an undisclosed amount of cash.
Wan was charged with operating a house of prostitution and released per bail reform.
No further information is being released at this time.
