A Stockton University graduate accused of posting an alleged sexual assault on social media is expected to plead guilty in the case.Zachary Madle, 26, is charged with invasion of privacy and aggravated criminal sexual contact — both third-degree crimes.
He was indicted in September 2018. He is also the defendant in at least two civil cases alleging sexual assault.
Madle was previously denied entry into the pretrial intervention program. His attorney unsuccessfully fought that determination.
The Wildwood man allegedly posted videos of the victim in various states of undress and varying states of consciousness via Snapchat, according to the charges.
“The preparation and posting of the video, accompanied by music, vitiates any argument that defendant was so intoxicated that he did not realize the nature and quality of his acts,” Superior Court Judge Jeffrey Waldman wrote in a nine-page decision denying the entry into PTI.
Madle is due back in court in two weeks, when a resolution to the case is expected, Superior Court Judge Bernard DeLury said during a brief appearance Thursday, that followed discussion between both attorneys in his chambers.
No discussion was made of what the offer might be.
