Two Atlantic City teens tried to rob three people in two separate incident, police said.Officers James Andros IV and John Bell responded to the 2800 block of the Boardwalk at 2:25 Sunday morning for a report of an attempted armed robbery, Sgt. Kevin Fair said. A man and woman were approached by two boys demanding money. One had a knife, they told police.While the officers were talking to the couple, a man approached them saying the same suspects had demanded money from him. They fled after he refused, according to the report.The 14-year-old boys were found in the beach block of Arkansas Avenue. One of them had a box cutter, Fair said. The other had marijuana.Both were charged with robbery. The one with the box cutter was also charged with unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.
The other was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance.
The teens were taken to the Harborfields Juvenile Detention Center.
