Thirteen people were displaced by a fire in Atlantic City on Thursday morning.A dog also succumbed to smoke inhalation. Another was rescued.The fire began in vacant building at 132 N. Pennsylvania Ave., and then spread to the third floor of the building next door at 134, Chief Scott Evans said.There was also heavy smoke damage to 136 N. Pennsylvania Ave., Evans said.Thursday's fire was next door to another vacant building that had a fire last year.A demolition crew is set to knock down both vacant buildings, Evans said.The Red Cross is assisting the displaced residents.
