Atlantic City firefighters saved a man from a burning building around midnight Thursday.
Firefighters arrived to find a man hanging out of the third-floor window of the four-story building at 7 N. Florida Ave., Fire Chief Scott Evans said.
Firefighter Joe DiMelia of Ladder 2 was able to make the save as flames threatened the man.
About 28 firefighters responded to the fire, Evans said.
The nearest station, Station 4, was closed for a new roof installation, he said. The building was boarded up, so no one was living in there legally, Evans said.
The fire was on the second floor. The cause is under investigation.
