Two more deaths in Atlantic County have been attributed to COVID-19.An 81-year-old Buena Borough man and 90-year-old Hammonton woman both had pre-existing conditions that put them at higher risk, health officials said.Newly confirmed cases included a 2-year-old girl and a 96-year-old woman.There were also 14 men ages 22 to 80 among the 37 newly confirmed cases.The newly confirmed cases included 10 from Pleasantville, eight in Galloway Township, four in Atlantic City and three each in Absecon and Egg Harbor Township. Northfield and Hammonton each had two new cases while Brigantine, Buena Borough, Hamilton Township, Margate and Somers Point each had one.
Atlantic County has confirmed 2,097 residents who have tested positive for Covid-19 and 149 deaths as well as 712 residents who have been cleared as recovered.
Atlantic County will continue testing, but the location has moved to provide greater protection from the elements in the event of bad weather, officials said.The county test site is now in Northfield, behind the county's Public Works facility at Route 9 and Dolphin Avenue.The next testing dates will be from 10 a.m. to 1p.m. Wednesday and Thursday.Residents must have symptoms, a prescription and an appointment.Appointments can be made on the county web site at www.aclink.org. Those who are unable to keep their appointments are asked to cancel so others may have an opportunity to be tested.
