EHT woman dies from coronavirus complications

A 93-year-old Egg Harbor Township woman died from complications of COVID-19, health officials said Sunday.It was the only reported death over the weekend.The county also reported 60 newly confirmed positives over the weekend, the youngest were a 6-year-old boy and 15-year-old girl.The weekend cases included 12 in Atlantic City, nine each in Galloway, Hammonton and Northfield, eight in Pleasantville, three each in Absecon and Egg Harbor Township, two in Somers Point, and one each in Buena Borough, Egg Harbor City, Folsom, Hamilton Township and Margate.

Atlantic County has confirmed 2,265 cases, including 159 deaths with 894 residents cleared as recovered.

Atlantic County will continue testing, but the location has moved to provide greater protection from the elements in the event of bad weather, officials said.The county test site is now in Northfield, behind the county's Public Works facility at Route 9 and Dolphin Avenue.The next testing dates will be from 10 a.m. to 1p.m. Wednesday and Thursday.Residents must have symptoms, a prescription and an appointment.Appointments can be made on the county web site at www.aclink.org. Those who are unable to keep their appointments are asked to cancel so others may have an opportunity to be tested.
