  • News

The cause of a fire that engulfed a Hamilton Township home this weekend remains under investigation.

A 911 call of a woods fire in the area of Dehirsch Avenue came in at 1:39 a.m. Sunday, police said.
Fire and police personnel arrived to find a home fully engulfed.

The Mays Landing and Richland fire departments extinguished the flames with help from fire companies from Laureldale, Weymouth, Estell Manor, Dorothy and East Vineland.

Hamilton Township Rescue, Fire Official and the Division of Fire Safety were also on scene.
Video surveillance showed that the home was fully engulfed at the time of the 911 call.

The file has been labeled suspicious.

No injuries were reported.

The Cologne, Elwood and Minatola fire departments provided cover for those companies on scene.

Anyone with information about the fire is asked to call Detective Michael Robison at 609-625-2700, ext. 578.
