Two teens charged in Atlantic City shooting that wounded 9-year-old

Two teens are charged in an Atlantic City shooting that wounded a 9-year-old girl last month.
The victim was shot in the foot when multiple gunshots were fired into a residence in the 500 block of Indiana Avenue at about 10:20 p.m. Sept. 3, according to the report.
The ShotSpotter audio gunshot detection system alerted police to the residence, and the girl was taken to the AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center's City Campus for treatment.
An investigation by the Violent Crimes Unit led police to charge a 17-year-old from Atlantic City and another from Vineland, Lt. Kevin Fair said.
The Vineland teen already was in custody at Harborfields Juvenile Detention Center in a separate shooting, Fair said.
The city teen was arrested Oct. 24, Officers Melvin Murray III and Michael Gunsser in the 1700 block of Arctic Avenue.  
He was also found in possession The male was found in possession of a small quantity of marijuana.  
Both are charged with aggravated assault, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, unlawful possession of a weapon, and conspiracy. 
The city teen is additionally charged with possession of marijuana.
Both are being held at Harborfields.
