A child was wounded in a shooting in Atlantic City on Thursday night.
Police were called to the 500 block of Indiana Avenue at 10:22 p.m.by a ShotSpotter alert.
They found that multiple shots had been fired into a residence, Lt. Kevin Fair said.
There they found a 9-year-old girl with a foot injury.
It was not clear how the girl was injured, he said. It's believed that it was either a bullet or a fragment.
She was taken to the AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center's City Campus for treatment.
The Violent Crimes Unit is investigating.
