Three men who completed recent prison sentences were arrested on drug and gun charges after a car stop in Atlantic City.
Officers Christian Ivanov and Kevin Perez made the stop at 10:50 Tuesday night, after seeing the driver commit several traffic infractions, Lt. Kevin Fair said.
Alon Rolls, 34, of Ocean City, was driving, but had a suspended driver's license and told police he didn't know who owned the vehicle., according to the report.
Rolls was released from prison in June, after completing a sentence for robbery and theft by deception, records show.
As they were talking, Ivanov noticed cocaine inside the vehicle, Fair said.
Rolls and his passengers were removed while a search was conducted, according to the report.
Inside, officers found a loaded handgun along with 165 grams of cocaine, 21 bags of heroin and 31 grams of unpackaged heroin, 5½ grams of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and additional ammunition, according to the report.
They also found a bag of oxycodone pills weighing 30 grams and ecstasy pills weighing 45 grams, Fair said, explaining they are weighed rather than counting pills because officers are trying to avoid touching drugs as much as possible.
The officers also found the passengers, Markees Pruitt and Jaime Cambrelen, had active warrants.
Pruitt, 37, of Brooklyn, N.Y., was paroled in June 2018, after serving a prison sentence on various drug charges, records show.
Cambrelen, 31, of Atco, was paroled in July 2019, after serving time on aggravated assault and drug charges.
All three were taken to the Atlantic County Justice Facility on drug and weapons charges.
Pruitt and Cambrelen were also being held on the contempt of court warrants.
Rolls was issued several motor vehicle citations.
