Two Atlantic City workers are charged with stealing time, including a retired police officer with a nearly $115,000 annual pension.
Gregory Ingrum, who retired in 2017, was working as a Class III officer in the city's surveillance center.
But while Ingrum was clocking and out of work, he allegedly was rarely on the job.
Between Dec. 5 and Feb. 22, Ingrum got paid for 30 days — including one sick day — but was only at work 13 of those days, according to the affidavit of probable cause.
On Feb. 10, his phone number showed he was in Orlando, Fla., when he punched in and out of work through an app, the affidavit claims. On March 14 and 15, he was in Arizona when he registered hours.
Ingrum, 51, of Mays Landing, is now charged with third-degree theft by deception and is no longer working for the department.
A payroll worker faces the same charge for allegedly padding her hours illegally.
Suzanne Ricketts, 40, of Pleasantville, after the Police Department was notified that she biometrically signed in for work at 7:30 a.m. one day in January, but then amended her time card to show she started at 6:30 a.m., the affidavit claims.
An investigation found Ricketts added 174.75 hours to her time sheets between Nov. 19 to Jan. 16, getting paid $3,325.49 more than she worked, according to the affidavit.
She has been suspended without pay.
Both are due in court next month.
Neither was processed at the jail.
