An Egg Harbor Township woman died Thursday night, after being struck by a vehicle as she walked in the road.
Cheryl Milburn, 62, was walking east on Zion Road near the center of the road around 11:25 p.m., when she was struck by a vehicle driven by 21-year-old Julezisse Acevedo, police said.
Milburn was pronounced dead at the scene near Diamond Drive.
No injuries were reported for Acevedo, who lives in the township.
The crash is being investigated by Sgt. Larry Graham and Officers Nick Poletis and Ed Stearns.
The Bargaintown Fire Department along with township EMS assisted at the scene.
Traffic was detoured for about three hours.
