A Hammonton woman was killed in an early-morning crash Thursday on the Atlantic City Expressway.
Emily Fitzpatrick was traveling east in the area of milepost 39.4 in Winslow Township when she apparently struck a deer and went into the center median and entered the westbound lane. There, the Honda Accord struck a GMC Acadia.
Police were called to the scene at 1:46 a.m. Fitzpatrick, 27, was killed.
The other driver was not injured.
The westbound lanes were closed for about two hours.
