A Galloway Township man was killed when he was struck by a car Thursday night.
Julianne Johnson, 55, of Hammonton, was traveling west on Route 30 near South Balboa Avenue in Galloway at about 8:30 p.m., when she struck 74-year-old Charles Winkler Jr., who was walking east in the outside westbound lane, Lt. Christopher McGinty said.
Patrol units arrived to find Johnson's car stopped in the outside lane at the intersection of Columbus Avenue. They also found Winkler dead in the road.
The crash is being investigated by Patrolmen Ronald Gorneau, Nicholas Stewart and Cody Trout.
