Four people were arrested in two days in Atlantic City, leading to the recovery of drugs, a gun and cash.
Detectives Anthony Abrams and Nicholas Berardis were conducting surveillance in the 1000 block of Brigantine Boulevard Tuesday, due to residents' complaints about drug distribution and possession, Lt. Kevin Fair said.
The two stopped a motor vehicle.
Naheem Prater, 19, of Atlantic City, was found with more than 11 grams of heroin, according to the report. A handgun was also allegedly found where he was sitting in the vehicle.
Hameed Owens, 21, of Mays Landing, was found with more than 8 grams of heroin and more than 7 grams of cocaine, Fair said.
The next day, a search warrant was executed in the 1500 block of Caspian Place, Fair said.
Robert Taylor, 37, and Tyhesha Wilson, 35, both of Atlantic City, were inside the residence where police found 2,100 bags of heroin, 15 grams of cocaine and 54 grams of marijuana, according to the charges.
They also found items used for packaging and distributing narcotics along with $10,000 in cash.
The month-long investigation was led by Detective Alberto Valles.
Prater, Wilson and Taylor were taken to the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
Owens was released on a summons.
Anyone with information about the distribution of narcotics is asked to call Atlantic City Police Department Special Investigations Section at 609-347-5858. Information may also be texted anonymously to tip411 (847411), beginning the text with ACPD.
