Daughter accidentally hits mother with car in Somers Point

A Northfield woman suffered life-threatening injuries when her daughter accidentally struck her with her car in Somers Point.
The 58-year-old Oceanview woman and her 81-year-old mother were riding to the beach in separate cars Tuesday, Chief Robert Somers said.
While the older woman was loading the back of her car along Johnson Avenue, her daughter tried to better park when she struck her mother between the two vehicles, Somers said.
The mother was in the Trauma Center at AtlantiCare in Atlantic City.
The daughter was treated and released. Names were not released
Neither alcohol nor drugs were a factor. The accident remains under investigation
