Two men are charged in the killing of a Bridgeton teen last year.
Davion Scarborough, 18, was found dead near a dirt path in the area of South Burlington Road and Pamphylia Avenue in Bridgeton by police responding to shots fire just before 10 p.m. Nov. 9.
Jerry Crawford, 25, of Atlantic City, and Yusuf Waites, 23, of Bridgeton, are now charged with conspiracy to commit murder in the killing, Cumberland County Prosecutor Jennifer Webb-McRae announced Friday.
An investigation found that Crawford and Yusuf Waites accompanied Scarborough as they left Burlington Manor Apartments and walked through the field where Scarborough was found.
He was shot multiple times.
No details were released about the shooting, including who is accused of firing a gun.
Crawford and Waites are being held in the Cumberland County Jail pending detention hearings.
The investigation is ongoing.
