The public should not worry about a large police presence along Ocean Heights Avenue on Wednesday morning, officials said.
About 15 unmarked SUVs and a State Police T.E.A.M.S. Unit truck were parked along Ocean Heights Avenue on Wednesday morning.
"The public should not be alarmed," according to a statement from the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office acknowledging the "large police presence" in the area.
The office did not say why police were there, but BreakingAC has learned it is tied to a cold case involving the Major Crimes Unit, and included searching the water in that area.
No further details were released.
