Atlantic City has partnered with a nonprofit to help feed hundreds of residents this month.
Every Tuesday and Fridays starting at 11 a.m., the city is handing out 700 boxes of food for two hours in the City Hall courtyard.
The monthlong initiative is being done under a partnership with 4MyCity, a nonprofit that looks to using what could be food waste to help sustain communities.
"I’m proud of my staff and our city," Mayor Marty Small said. "During this time of need, we continue to deliver for the good people of Atlantic City."
The distribution is being done with help from the Health and Human Services Department, Senior Citizens Supervisor Brian Gunter, Public Works Department, Police Department and ONE Neighborhood Evolution.
