  • News

A Somers Point man allegedly destroyed a longstanding Linwood memorial to a teen killed in 2004.
Stephen C. Symnoski, 47, is charged with criminal mischief after the Feb. 24 destruction to the memorial to Nick Marvel at Seaview Avenue and New Road.
Marvel was just 18 when he was struck as he walked along Route 9 just after 9 p.m. Nov. 16, 2004.
A woman was sentenced to 10 years in prison for vehicular homicide in the case.
Symnoski also is charged with driving or parking an unregistered vehicle and failure to possess an insurance card, court records show.
All charges are pending in Linwood Municipal Court.
