Pleasantville man critically injured in fiery Absecon crash

  • News

A Pleasantville man was critically injured in a one-vehicle crash Sunday night in Absecon.
The crash happened just west of the Delilah Road overpass, police said. Speed is believed to be a factor.
Officers responded at 7:14 p.m. to reports of a vehicle engulfed in flames, according to police.
Bystanders helped the driver, who was ejected from the vehicle. He was the only occupant.
The man, whose name was not released, was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center by Absecon Emergency Services.
The road was reduced to one lane for about four hours while the crash was investigated.
The Absecon Fire Department provided assistance during the investigation.
Anyone who witnessed the crash is asked to call Absecon police at 609-641-0667, ext. 858.
