A.C. Expressway stop leads to DUI, date-rape drug

  • News

A traffic stop on the Atlantic City Expressway led to the seizure of more than $1,500 in narcotics, including the so-called date-rape drug.
Andrew Wilson, 18, of Oceanview, Dennis Township, was found to be under the influence when State Trooper Kenneth Zima stopped him heading west near milepost 17.3 in Hamilton Township last week, State Police said.
Passenger Richard Jones, 39, of East Norriton, Penn., was found in possession of methamphetamine, heroin, prescription legend drugs and hydroxybutyrate acid, a mind-altering drug that can cause people to lose consciousness, stop breathing or go into a coma, State Police explained.
He also allegedly had drug paraphernalia.
Both men were both released pending a court appearance.
