A Mainland Regional High School student was injured when he was struck by a vehicle in front of the school Monday morning.
Police were called to the area of 1200 New Road in Linwood at about 8:40 a.m. for a pedestrian struck by a vehicle, Lt. Steve Cunningham said.
The 18-year-old student’s name nor the extent of his injuries is being released at this time.
He was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center’s Trauma Unit in Atlantic City.
The accident is under investigation by Officer Brandon Settle with help from the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office.
School officials sent parents an email Monday morning to alert them about the incident.
