A 15-year-old was arrested in a shooting that wounded another teen Sunday in Atlantic City.

Police were called to the 600 block of Raleigh Avenue at 6:48 p.m. for a shooting, Sgt. Paul Aristizabal said.

Officer Joseph Kelly Jr. found information in the suspect, also 15, and broadcast it to responding units.

The unnamed victim was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center's City Campus for treatment of wound not considered life-threatening.

At 7:13 p.m., Officers LaQuay Green and Wahab Malik stopped a teen matching the suspect's description in the area of Ohio Avenue and Bacharach Boulevard.

He was found with a loaded handgun and arrested, Aristizabal said.

An investigation by detectives positively identified him as the shooter. His name is not being released due to his age.

He is charged with unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and aggravated assault.

He was taken to Harborfields Juvenile Detention Center.
