A Mays Landing woman is accused of killing her husband on Christmas Day.
Hamilton Township police were called to the 5200 block of Mays Landing-Somers Point Road at about 10:19 p.m. for an injured man, according to the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office.
They found David Wigglesworth, 57, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
His wife, Marylue Wigglesworth, was taken into custody.
She is charged with murder and is in the Atlantic County Justice Facility awaiting a detention hearing.
The investigation is ongoing by the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit and Hamilton Township police.
Neither has any prior criminal charges, according to a search of court records.
