A Margate man convicted of sharing photos and videos of children being sexually assaulted was sentenced to 15 years in prison Monday.
Robert Ferry, 40, must serve at least 10 years before he is eligible for parole. He will also have to register under Megan’s Law with supervision for life.
Ferry was charged in April 2019, after a year-long investigation in which he shared the pornographic materials at least 10 times, according to acting Atlantic County Prosecutor Cary Shill.
What he didn’t know was that the files were being shared to a Department of Homeland Security undercover computer program.
Investigators tracked Ferry through an IP address coming from his apartment, according to the charges.
He remains in the Atlantic County Justice Facility pending transfer to state prison.
NOTE: The Atlantic County Justice Facility does not release mugshots under a prior rule by the former prosecutor.
