Fugitive jailed in killing at Vineland Wawa

  • News

A Vineland teen wanted in a fatal shooting outside a Wawa was arrested in New York state this week.

Luis “Fluff” Rivera, 23, was shot as he exited the Wawa at Delsea Drive and Park Avenue early Jan. 13.

A warrant was announced for the alleged shooters' arrest five days later.

Shaqwil Marlow, 19, is accused of shooting Rivera from inside the store, according to the charges. He faces four counts, including murder and weapons offenses.

The shooting also caused more than $2,000 worth of damage to the store, the charges claim.

He was arrested early Wednesday in Niagra County, N.Y., by members of the U.S. Marshal’s NY/NJ Regional Fugitive Task Force, Atlantic City division, along with the New York division, Cumberland County Prosecutor Jennifer Webb-McRae announced.

Marlow is currently in the Niagra County Jail awaiting extradition to Cumberland County.

The investigation is ongoing.

Rivera leaves behind four children and a fiancee.

Anyone with information is asked to call Vineland Police Detective Christopher Fixler at 856-460-0806 or Cumberland County
Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit Detective Paul Panchesine at 856-332-6233.
