An Ocean City police officer is accused of stalking for allegedly placing a tracking device on a vehicle.
Jacob M. Harris, 32, is on administrative leave pending the outcome of his case.
Lower Township police were called to a residence Wednesday after the device was found on a vehicle, Cape May County Prosecutor Jeffrey Sutherland and Chief of Detectives Paul Skill said.
An investigation determined the device was related to Harris, who lives in Egg Harbor Township.
He was charged with fourth-degree stalking the next day and arrested without incident.
Harris was released on a summons.
