An investigation into an old list of ingredients for a non-lethal on a student's notebook found no threat, police said.
The list was found by a St. Joseph Regional School staff member while packing up an eighth-grader's desk Friday, Chief Robert Somers said.
While there was never a threat made, police investigated as a precaution.
The student's house was searched and a bomb-sniffing dog searched the school, Somers said.
No illegal materials were located and no criminal charges were filed.
"Again, no threat was made," Somers stressed. "The writings were written months prior. At no time did we believe students were in danger."
The student, whose name was not released, was turned over to his parents for a mental health evaluation.
