A Galloway Township man died after his car crashed with a NJ Transit bus Thursday evening.
John Barker, 48, was driving his 2006 Mercedes south on South Shore Road when he collided with the bus, which was heading north and making a left turn onto Ohio Avenue, police said.
More than a dozen passengers in the bus sustained injuries.
The investigation is ongoing, but police believe speed was a factor.
The road was closed for about five hours while the crash was being investigated.
The Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office, NJ Transit Police, Absecon Fire Department and numerous EMS mutual aid personnel assisted at the scene.
