A Millville man had to be extricated from a vehicle Monday night, after crashing into a parked vehicle.
Firefighters responded to the 1000 block of Drexel Avenue at about 8 p.m., Fire Chief Scott Evans said.
Ladder 1 used the jaws of live to extricate the person inside the car, he said.
The 40-year-old man, whose name was not released, was conscious when he was removed. He was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center's City Campus for injuries not considered life-threatening.
A gas meter was also struck, causing a leak, Evans said. The houses were temporarily evacuated until the gas company turned came and shut off the gas, he said.
